![]() Still, try the recapture and monitor it from time to time while it is going on. Since you are only starting with the quality of a VHS tape, lowing output quality will really show up!ĭo whatever you would prefer but I really don't think this is ever going to happen again.Įdit: having said that, I see another user reporting the same thing? I will have to scrounge around and find a 2 Hour tape and try this myself! Keep in mind what Walt said about a DVD only holding about 1 hour at High Quality. Some of the Regulars here prefer small chunks like the 30 minutes that Walt suggested while I prefer the Whole Tape method but have the PC to handle it Seem like is dump the first 90 minutes and could only retain 30+ minutes. I just noticed that it only recorded the LAST 32 minutes of the 2 hour tape. The Roxio VHS to DVD version is build 201B23A. The 2 most likely scenarios are that it reached a file size limit such as the 4 GB limit of FAT32 or you only thought you were starting the tape at the beginning and it was not fully rewound… Make sure the File System is NTSC and not FAT32. But it will never just start up again on its' own If there is a break in the recording, some users find that it will Stop recording at that point. It cannot capture 1:30 then somehow erase that file and start a new one, that just can't happen. Doug this is a little baffling because it simply cannot do what you described!!!
